Humble Can Make Anyone A Better Person – Ray’s Realization

hum·ble

adjective

          – having or showing a modest or low estimate of one’s own importance.

Being humble plays many important roles, and can drastically change our lives.

I was reading an article on humility and it was fantastic. Practicing being humble will and can make a postie impact.

  • Excellence In Leadership

    • Humble leaders are not only better liked, but they are also more effective.
“Leaders of all ranks view admitting mistakes, spotlighting follower strengths and modeling teach-ability as being at the core of humble leadership.
And they view these three behaviors as being powerful predictors of their own as well as the organization’s growth.”

      -Bradley Owens

  • Higher Self-Control

    • Having high self-control is one major important key to a successful life.
  • Better Work Performance

    • The humble not only make better managers & owners, but they also make better employees.
  • Less prejudice

    • One of the characteristics of being humble is having a low sense of entitlement. This leads to a less prejudiced view of the world, encouraging  them to be tolerant to others and less defensive about their own beliefs.
  • More helpful

    • Humble people are, on average, more helpful than people who are arrogant or self-centered.
  • Better relationships

    • Humble people may have better relationships because they accept other people for who they are and are not as judgmental.

      • As I do. Most do not realize the hours I put in to do what you see on Petals. The friends I’ve come to cherish here help me to improve myself with my photography and to give me the motivation to stay true to my Walk in Life. It works both ways with me. I just don’t show my art and my writings. I focus on interaction as well. Let’s just say when I get thank yous they mean the world to me, no matter how many times I hear those two words. 🙂

  2. I agree. Humility has the power to bring immense changes to ourselves and our lives if we’ll only practice it with consistency.

Humility is one value most people tend to disregard nowadays because of the fast-faced and fiercely competitive state of the world and its affairs.

    Great post!
